Welcome to the Hybrid Drummer! This course has been designed for drummers who are looking to open up a whole new chapter on their playing. If you are interested in adding electronics to your setup, but are overwhelmed by the sheer mass of information to learn. This course is for you! In a nutshell, this course will teach you to play electronic music such as drum and bass, house, trap and more on the acoustic drum kit. The course also teaches you everything you need to know about the electronic side of drumming! Hybrid setups, triggers, samplers and more are all explained with examples on how YOU can implement these new technologies to your playing! I made this course because there was no in-depth guide to show how we can use electronic drums. As an ever growing field, I felt it would be beneficial for the drumming community to construct a unique course covering all the specialised information YOU need to get you programming and playing confidently. In this course I will be teaching you - from the ground up - how to operate and play electronics on your drums. Alongside this, I will be teaching you how to authentically play several styles of electronic music, as well as teaching you the absolute essentials for live performance. You don't need electronic drums to do this course, chapter two is great for those who don't have the tech handy. The course has three chapters. Each of these chapters covers a different subject: CHAPTER I: The Tech - Chapter one will give you all the relevant information on how it all works, from setting up your first drum pad, to programming synths to play while you drum! Here are some of the main things covered: Learning what MIDI data is and how to use it How we can use MIDI controllers and triggers Utilising samplers and how to sample Learning what programme changes are and how we can apply them How to trigger external instrument such as a SYNTH! ...and MUCH more! This chapter starts you with the basics and then we build up to some really exciting and wacky concepts, such as playing synthesisers with your electronic drums! There are also lessons on more regular concepts such as sampling a song and recreating it live using triggers! CHAPTER II: The Drums - Chapter two is moving away from the tech to focus on building the skills and techniques on the Acoustic Kit that will make playing electronic music both enjoyable and simple! We will cover: Drum and Bass House Music Trap Music EDM Learning how we can apply simple and unique ideas to result in complex grooves Applying Rudiments to grooves Hybrid Drumming Tuning and Sound design PLUS more... Every genre has a "Chop builder" lesson that will give you the building blocks and technical skill to then apply all the new concepts you have learnt in a creative manner! CHAPTER III: The Gig - Chapter three is all about live performance. This is for when you have used the skills in the two previous chapters to make new and exciting music and are ready to perform live! This chapter will give you all the information you need to confidently approach a gig. This chapter contains: How to play with a metronome live Pre-Production tips How to set up a monitor mix Troubleshooting and Damage Prevention Much more! This chapter is a must-watch if you're ready to take things to the stage! In the chapter are concise, practical gigging tips from a working drummer. If you're interested in taking your playing to a whole new dimension, this is the course for you!

Hi, I'm Carles Planells and I welcome you to the cajon course: Learn through rhythms. In this course you will learn to play the cajon in a fun and dynamic way. The learning method is based on learning rhythms only. The reason for this is because I think it is the most practical way to learn to play percussion because you can quickly apply the knowledge and play with other musicians or on top of your favorite songs. The way to learn the rhythms will be as follows: I'll play the rhythm at a normal speed first so you can see what it sounds like. Then I will slow down a lot so that you can see well where each blow goes and try to imitate me at home. Finally, I will accelerate the speed so you can see how it sounds at the different speeds. Why learn this way? Well, because the learning system by imitation is the oldest that exists and will allow you to develop your ear. Finally, I would like to thank the Peruvian and gypsy teachers for the legacy. And tell you that I hope you enjoy and learn a lot. Courage and patience. Long live music and percussion!

This course is designed for drummers and musicians at all levels to gain greater control of their instrument and build a stronger foundation in rhythm. It covers the fundamental concept of percussion rudiments. Rudiments are at the core of being a competent drummer and percussionist. If you're not a drummer, learning rudiments can enhance your musicianship, coordination, and give you a better sense of rhythm. This course is meant to build a solid foundation of technique, an in-depth understanding of sub-divisions, and coordinated control of various sticking patterns. A firm grasp of these core concepts will open many doors to drummers of any style or context. The rudiments in this course were thoughtfully chosen as common tools for the working drummer or musician. If you're not a drummer - this course can provide a deeper understanding of rhythm and improve your coordination by learning these sticking patterns. These can be applied to any instrument by gaining the skills of limb independence, improved dexterity, and a deeper sense of rhythmic concepts. These rudiments can be applied without drumsticks or playing surface. Simply play these exercises out on your lap with a metronome or a drum-beat accompaniment. If you have questions throughout this course, do not hesitate to message me with further questions about achieving your practice and performance goals. Thanks so much for taking a peak at this course!
