Imaginative Editing in Adobe Premiere

Surrealist video has always fascinated me ever since I was a kid watching creative, imaginative music videos and films.  Adobe Premiere Pro CC has a number of effects and functions that now make it possible for anyone to be expressive and dreamlike with the video editing- keeping viewers engaged and going beyond the ordinary world through simple surrealist techniques. In this course we examine what exactly the original Surrealist artists and filmmakers of the 1920s-40s did in their video art.  I cover some of the basics of the Adobe Premiere workspace, so if this is your first time working in Premiere, you won't be left out in the cold.  Then I show you how those old Surrealist approaches can be accomplished in Adobe Premiere Pro. Students won't need any previous experience with Premiere or video editing, but they will need access to the program and some footage to work with.  I highly recommend watching the lessons first before gathering your footage.  If you're not familiar with all the options in the program don't worry, this course is designed specifically to be understood by users of all skill levels - whether you're brand new to the program or an experienced user, there's sure to be something of value for you in this course.
