Fingerpainting with Oil Paint - Funky Rooster

Vibrant colour, silky buttery texture to work with, no brushes, solvents or mediums - the perfect loose painting project utilising the beautiful qualities of rich oil paint. This is the perfect class for anyone wanting to explore the beauty of oil paints in a relaxed, fun and creative manner. This is the third course in the Fingerpainting in Oils series. In the first two courses, the focus was more on creating textures (smooth and rough) and keeping it simple with a few colours and relatively large shapes. In this third class, I show you how to use your fingers to push the paint around, get into small areas, how to add layers to create depth and interest to your painting while at the same time keeping it fun and flexible. As usual, this course is suitable to the complete beginner, and you can do the classes in the Fingerpainting in Oils series in any order. They are complete stand alone classes. If the idea of oil paint interests you, but you've been put off by the toxic solvents often used, the mediums, and the messy brush and palette clean up process afterwards, or if you simply wanted to use paints in a non-traditional way, then this is the class for you. I encourage you to ditch the brushes, grab your latex gloves and join us in an exploration of the wonderful medium of oil paint.

Requirements This course is suitable for beginners, and no previous oil painting experience is necessary. I guide you through each lesson step-by-step, with close visuals so that you can see clearly what I'm doing and try it yourself with confidence. A detailed supply list with the exact colours needed is given in the class, however, you are free to use your imagination and use any colours you like. It's a funky, stylised rooster, after all! A desk easel or stand up easel is more comfortable, but not compulsory. A willingness to play and explore is definitely to your advantage. Let go of all the need to be perfect and accept the invitation to loosen up and trust the process.
